A Seraph is a member of the choir of Seraphim. An immensely powerful light is emanated by Seraphs, making it impossible for people to look at them. When St. Francis of Assisi received his stigmata in 1224, he became one of the few humans to see a seraph.
The Nephilim were the children born after the Grigori mated with human women. They were argumentative, fierce, ravenous giants who fought against each other and humans. When people refused to give them food, they began eating humans. Jewish legend says it was the Nephilim who built the Tower of Babel. The last of the Nephilim (there were 409,000 of them) died in the Great Flood, and it’s possible the flood was created with this aim in mind.
